Zac Efron stops by his hotel in London and signs some autographs for his waiting fans on Wednesday (March 25). The actor has been shying away from musicals and is currently pursuing more mature roles. After dropping out of being a part of the Footloose remake, Efron is seeking to play a cemetery keeper in The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud. The High School Musical star will also appear in a more serious role for Me and Orson Welles where Efron plays a teen in a production of Julius Caeser, directed by a young Orson Welles. Zac Efron has decided to pull out of the remake of the movie, 'Footloose'. A statement reads "Footloose is a project we've longed to see rebooted for a new generation. While Zac is no longer attached, we remain excited." What do you think about it? Leave your comments here!

According to the March 2009 issue of M magazine, Zac doesn't regret anything. “I’ve been in a lot of the same positions that Troy’s been in, and have made tough decisions, too. For Troy, he has to choose between basketball and singing, but for me, it was figuring out my future. I was getting good grades in school and thinking about going to college. But I’d been involved with acting for years, so I finally decided to go down that path. I don’t regret anything though. I enjoyed being in school, but I really love the feeling I get from acting/ I’m hooked.” Zac says.

There have been a lot of rumors floating around saying that Zac and Vannessa got engaged. Those rumors are absollutely false. "We’re not engaged. I’m pretty sure literally that came from The Enquirer. It’s pretty funny, we had a good laugh over it." Zac says.
